Hotspot Food
Hotspot Food is much a needed and respected Community Space situated at The Beacon Community Centre, in the London Borough of Harrow.
Located in the heart of Rayners Lane as part of a local Housing Estate, Hotspot Food came to life when it became clear there was a need for Community based engagement projects focusing specifically on young people.
As an established company for almost 6 years Hotspot Food is a fully operational café offering various cuisines as well as the much loved traditional English café meals.
The modern facilities at Hotspot Food are equipped for those wanting to dine in or take away and the key goal is to provide nutritious meals that bring the community together to increase engagement, ensure wellbeing and get people active.
Furthering their endeavours Hotspot Food is now a fully recognised Community Interest Company (CIC) which will allow Hotspot Food to continue to grow, drive funding efforts that will ultimately serve its dedicated community.
Throughout the Pandemic Hotspot Food have provided over 9000 free meals to families and the elderly throughout the London Boroughs of Harrow & Hounslow.
Hotspot Food have run Holiday Playscheme's for children for the past 6 years, offering free activities including Sports, Drama, Art, Healthy Cooking, Day Trips and free meals for all children that attend to keep children active and fed throughout the holidays.
Hotspot Food also run weekly Boxing sessions to teach young people the discipline of this Sport as well as a young females group support teenage girls with body confidence, anxiety, exam stresses and life skills. Both are supported with healthy foods.
Hotspot Food is a registered charity and relies on funding to ensure the Community it serves can receive the services that Hotspot Food can provide.
